The Athletes 1st Academy is an independent private school (PSP) providing flexible independent study programs to elite athletes. The A1A Gap Year offers elite athletes an affordable way to reclassify their graduation year before entering high school via independent homeschooling under our PSP. We evaluate each student holistically to determine the most appropriate grade placement. Our parent school, the Talega Preparatory Academy, has been supporting homeschool families since 2002.  

 

A1A serves athletes nationwide in states that allow homeschooling and independent study programs. We have offices in California and Florida that enroll students who reside in many US states.  Contact us for information about homeschooling rules in your state.

 

Athletes 1st Academy program families may choose their own curriculum or one of our online curriculum options: Accelerate Education, Edmentum Courseware (both secular) or Ignitia (Christian-themed published by Alpha Omega). All programs are self-paced with no scheduled meetings. 

 

Your student may complete school work any time and any place. 

 

As a private school, we offer you flexibility in grading and work completion, and we can provide support services at an additional cost.
